Breaking Fears OR Breaking Free!

Have you ever experienced anxiety before you perform, or make a presentation in front of an audience? Mind going blank, butterflies in the stomach, feeling breathless, at a loss of words?all these are normal symptoms when experiencing FEAR. While many let this intense fear get the better of them and excuse themselves out of such situations, few face these situations and win over. They BREAK FREE by BREAKING these FEARS.

As a Business Coach, many a times I have met people who want to achieve big in life but they keep underplaying their business goals and lives by giving excuses. If you wish to make it big in life, you need to STOP GIVING VALID REASONS and DOUBLE YOUR ACTION. When it is the time to take action, many people fear taking those challenges or steps that would lead them to a larger result. Instead, they begin to doubt themselves, their capabilities and question every single move in their business. A fine example that comes to mind is that of the role played by Sridevi in the movie English Vinglish. She realizes that if she wishes to make it big and garner a certain level of respect from her family, she needs to stop giving herself excuses of not knowing English well. She takes things in her hand and decides to go learn English and become a free-spirited entrepreneur, fluent in spoken English.

The second tip that I would like you to consider is ? STANDING OUT IN THE CROWD. Leave the herd mentality. Invest all your energies and strengths in becoming so ?outstanding? that you ?stand out? in the crowd. Like in the movie 3 Idiots, where Aamir Khan as Rancho liked to do things differently. His saying ? ?Strive for excellence and perfection, success will have no option but to follow?, this holds good in our day-to-day lives as well. Focus on the efforts and results will follow.

And finally, JUST DON?T GIVE UP. It may be hard at times and you may feel that I have tried enough. How much more can anyone stretch themselves beyond their capacity! But you never know, that may probably be the last leg before you hit the jackpot. The movie Bhaag Milkha Bhaag captured the essence of this thought, to the best. Milkha Singh did not give any reasons whatsoever. He just kept trying and trying harder each day. And finally, he did achieve the result by setting the national record in 400-metres running. Movies always have such important lessons to share and learn from. I keep relating a lot of my business lessons to movies and the amazing lessons they teach us. As you let your business brew, it is time to let go of all your fears and insecurities. Remember the scene from DDLJ where Baoji tells Simran ? the epic dialogue, ?Jaa Simran Jaa! Jee le apni zindagi!? Become the Simran of your business venture. Shed your fears.

THE MESSAGE: Go take those decisions which have been put on the back burner, stop giving valid reasons, have the courage to stand out in the crowd and just don?t give up.

Build your business and live your life as if you will never ever get another chance!
